About SOS
SOS, or Songwriters' Original
Showcase, is a new, one-of-a-kind acoustic performance venue in the Philadelphia area for original music. SOS is sponsored by Slot One Studio
and presented at Act II Playhouse,
both located in Ambler, PA, a 30 minute drive
from center city Philadelphia.

Audition:
Please review information in middle column
before sending audition.
Step 1
You must have a commercially available
CD that can heard on line and also purchased on line or elsewhere.
ARTISTS' MUSIC IS AUDITIONED OVER THE INTERNET.
We do not accept tapes or CDs in the mail.
Step 2
SEND YOUR EPK an E-MAIL
that includes::
a. An MP3, Real Audio link, or website from where your songs can be downloaded;
b. Availability (when you can perform - see show dates posted);
c. full contact and artist information - e-mail, phone where
you can be reached.
Please do not send any attachments, they
will not be opened due to virus risks. Thanks.
Step 3
You'll get a resonse within 1-3 days. If you
don't hear from us, we are swamped. Feel
free to write again if you do not hear back.
Step 4
You will receive an email inviting you to perform.
If you can't make it on the date you're invited to perform, you can
choose another date that fits your schedule. We appreciate
your patience and your interest!
Step 5
If you are accepted, please be prepared to promote your
performance to your fans. You must sign a performance
release.
We may ask that you commit to a
block of tickets for resale to your fans. All the cash you make
selling your tickets you keep.

Where?
We use theaters and playhouses for our
shows. It's the lighting.
A professional stage
theater, provides the open stage in a 130+ seat performance theater. Act II Playhouse is across the street from the former Ambler Cabaret, a
once popular national touring stop for bands, artists, and top regional acts.
Act II Playhous is only two blocks from the SEPTA R-5 Line, with trains &
busses running
every 30 minutes and through 11:30 PM to Philadelphia's Suburban, Market East, and
30th Street Stations.

Shows will be video taped and displayed on the S.O.S. archived website for
each artist and show. Artists will receive video
demos of their performances. For re-broadcast purposes, artists must sign a performance
release
